thought-provoking poem

Do not stand at  my grave and weep,

i am not there, i do not sleep

I am in a  thousand winds that blow,

I am the softly falling snow,

I am the gentle showers of rain,

I am the fields of ripening grains,

I am in the morning hush,

I am in the graceful rush,

of beautiful birds in circling flight,

I am in the star shine of the night,

I am in the flowers that bloom,

I am in a quiet Room,

I am in the birds that sing,

I am in an each lovely thing,

Do not stand at my grave bereft,

I am not there, I have not left.........

Lake Vostok

This is probably world's most enigmatic  sub glacial lake.

This lake is almost 13000 ft beneath the ice sheet on antarctic. scientists estimate that the conditions of  this secluded lake might have been unchanged for 15 million years

the decades long probe of this lake is left just fifty miles away to peep into the contents of this lake. The presence of microorganism in the depth of it's water are already discovered by the experts. piercing through the lake would provide a chance to meet the life that we had never met before.

skeptics are of the view that this drilling could contaminate the fresh water.

IslamoPhobia.

This Video speaks itself that American media is suffering from islamophobia.

Reporters are much concerned, why Obama bow down to an Islamic head of state? and consider that

this act was beyond the limit. Media look perturbed,
Why he defended islamic cause? why he was wearing islamic costume? How many time   he  had quoted The Holy Quran? . This phobia is the major reason in creating misunderstanding about Islam and Muslims.

American Media  is in severe need to get rid of this islamophobia as soon as possible

No Instinct lasts forever.

This game starts with the two prominent instincts Love and hatred.. The both try to overpower each other Love want hatred to combine in it. The Love persistently  strives  to  eradicate hatred. To resist love,

hate gave rise anger.  love solicit help from wisdom. The both wisdom and love successfully  calm  down the anger but anger before  dying  completely  breeds  suspicious. suspicious suspect  the purity of love

and alienate wisdom from the love. Love got blind without wisdom.  it blindly keep on  showering  it's love on everyone and everything.   with out wisdom, he could not distinguish the right amount of it's love for everyone . it erroneously starts  loving Ego . Ego somehow restrict the functions of love . It don't show respect for wisdom neither let the love to calm down anger. The stubborn Ego caused the love to die . the demise of love left unchecked  hatred  with it's tools like,  anger, discontent, strife and ill will etc  this reign

of  lawlessness pricks the conscience and consciousness   subdue the wrong and  prevails the right. the right accumulate  sympathies and those sympathies are further  turned into love. In game of instincts non instinct remains forever rather try to  overpower each other for some time

instinct don't die keep on changing . and this game goes on..

Water theft in South Asia

China's zangmu dam (underconstruction) which would be  world's highest dam had  made Indian
government restless.India take it a tool of  water theft more than a hydro power project. this dam
is on Brahmaputra river which is a source of water for  million people. Moreover, being lower riparian, the flow of water concerned them a lot. similarly, Lagos,Vietnam,Cambodia and Thailand
have their reservation regarding Chinese  dams on Mekong river.  Activists blamed china for changing ecology of the river but china didn't respond to their concerns.

the other country which bears strain relationship with its neighbours over the water sharing is  India.
Surma and khushiara(  river of Bangladesh) are said to be affected if India build its Tipaimukh dam over the river Barak on Mani pur state.  So much so, its Farakka barrage on Ganges river  is the most heated debate in  Bangladesh  .  this barrage was constructed to divert the Ganges water into huglii river but many in Bangladesh believe this barrage  has  cut off  the supply of water, raised salinity, effected navigation and quality of water as well. the story don't ends here, Bangladesh has also voiced its concerns over India's inter-linking river project which will divert water of Ganges into the south of India, leaving the land of Bangladesh almost barren.

pancheshwor  hydro power project is a bone of contention between India and Nepal and equal water sharing of Mahakali river has yet to be defined. India signed mahakali treaty with Nepal for water utilization. Being upper riparian Nepal's treaties with India mostly focus on how  to   control floods?and how to make hydro power projects productive for both sides.  so is the case of  Buttan.

beyond that, Pakistan on many occasions snubbed  India on its ambitions to built more dam and barrages over the rivers that are entitle to Pakistan as par Indus water  treaty. this treaty has been breached by India  many times.  for instance, her  Baglihar dam on river Chenab earned  her a name "brazen water pirate.  it's because of  this dam,
the flow of river has reduced  but india deny this saying, the slow water flow of the river is natural and have nothing to do with the dam. India's proposed fifteen dam projects  has jolted  Pakistan.  This region is witnessing the scarcity of water and can have serious repercussions IF  the demands of lower riparian are not met.

World is going green

Jernhusan, the real estate company of Sweden took initiative and introduced a way to utilize body heat. The central station of Stockholm where thousands of people pass though daily can provide energy to warm another building without relying on gas and coal. the procedure  is very simple. heat exchangers concert body heat into hot water further this heat is channeled to the heating system of nearby building.

A Poison Tree...... by william Blake

i was angry with my friend
i told my wrath,my wrath did end.

i was angry with my foe
i told it not, my wrath did grow

And i watered it in fears,
night and morning with my tears
And i sunned it with smile
And with soft deceitful wiles

And it grew both day and night
Till it bore an apple bright
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine

and into my garden stole
when the night had veiled the pole
in the morning glad i see
my foe outstretched  beneath  the tree

Act of God

. Science   made much  progress in every field. Exploration of the universe is being accelerated. .weather predictions
and earth quack warnings are issued from time to time to prevent any upcoming damage.however last years catastrophes shows the  futility of these developments in preventing the act of God.

Haiti' was shacked with the severe earth quack which claimed almost 300,000 lives. The capital Port Au prince was raised to the ground affecting one third population of the state.

Chile experienced tsunami in February which damaged port Talcahuano and washed away some towns along the coast.  china  also suffered huge casualties  as 7.1 magnitude  earth quack claimed 400 lives in Yushu county region injuring 10,000 .
the volcanic eruption in Iceland and those of mount Merapi in Indonesia effected many lives as well.
the Massive flood in Pakistan shattered already crumbling economy of Pakistan. One fifth of the country was submerged under the water leaving devastated homes and destroyed crops.Estimates shows around 20 million people were affected and round about 2,000 people lost their lives.

Rampant wildfire in Russia in August due to draught and high temperature and 56,000 people were died.
Israel met with the same fate when fire broke out in November and reduced it's 7,000 acre area into ashes.

man hasn't been able to cope with these natural disasters so far.

Blasphemy law in pakistan

This Law was promulgated by Zia ul haq in 1980s. this law strictly prohibits any defaming of religious personages and defiling or defacing sacred places. For instance,

Article 295 prohibits damaging or defiling sacred places.

Article 295-A forbid inciting or outraging religious feelings.

Article 295-b forbids defiling the Holy Quran.

Article 295-c forbids defaming Muhammad Peace be Upon Him.

punishment for Defaming Muhammad (p.b.u.h)can be a death with or without fine.

article 298-a forbids  the use of any derogatory remarks and representations of Holy Muslim personages.

298 b and 292c prohibit Ahmidyas from calling themselves Muslims.

One faction of the country especially human right activist and some politicians are of the view that this law need to be amended as it's being utilised to kill innocent people. To support their point they give reference of many people who were held on the charge of blasphemy  but later court found them innocent.  thus these people had to endure this ordeal for several years without any crime.

there are numerous cases which shows how this law is being use to target the minority and the opponents. For instance,Punjab police arrested four student and a labourer on January 2009 for blasphemy but after few days inquiry committee dismissed the charges saying these are baseless. In some cases alleged people were put to death but later proved that they were innocent. they are not non Muslims alone, in many cases Muslims were caught up on blasphemy . owing to this mishandling of blasphemy law some amendments were proposed but religious parties demonstrated against it. so that the fate of this bill still hangs in balance.

No one is repealing this law parliamentarian want amendments to immune it from any witch hunting.

The supporter of this law (religious parties ) giving tough time to the government on this issue.

this tussle between religious parties and the supporters of the law can spark riots on large scale as it's easy to provoke so called  Muslims in the name of Islam.

As we have seen in the case of Governor Punjab who has been killed by his own guard and he had confessed his crime pleading that , Governor once attributed this law to a black law which injured his feelings and he shot him dead. interesting to note that no one brought any allegation under any article of the constitution in any court against the Governor Not even by the mullah's who are well versed in religious matter. . the question arises here why individuals take law in their hand and kill others on their own discretion.whereas Laws are there, judges are there, and the state is Muslim????/

"Mortality" bye Francis beaumont on The tombs in Westminster Abbey

Mortality, behold and fear

What a change of flesh is here!

Think how many royal bones

Sleep within these heaps of stones

Here, they lie had realms and lands,

who now want strength to stir their hands.

where from their pulpits seal'd with dust

they preach,  "In greatness is no trust"

Here's  an acre sown indeed

with the richest royallest seeds

Here the bones of birth have cried,

"Though gods they were, as men they died"

Here are sands, ignoble things,

Dropt  from the ruin'd sides of kings.

Here's a world of pomp and state

Buried in dust, once dead by fate

History repeats itself

the throughout history of Pakistan's politics is an acute specimen of the proverb "history repeats itself".
Nearly all Generals strictly adhered to their policy of arm twisting and usurping the power from the politicians.
The first president of Pakistan Iskandar mirza filled the post of defense minister with Ayoub khan who was commander in chief of army  by then. The unfortunate president got his due when Ayoub khan ousted him and seized the power.

It is said that General gul hassan and Air martial  raheem played a major role in installing Zulifiqar ali butto's governemt as against the incumbent martial law administrate General Yahya Khan.but The both were retired forcibly. Afterwards Zulifqar bhutto bypassed Senior Generals and appointed General Zia ul haq as the Head of the pak army.General Zia  took the power, dismissed democratic government and later Bhutto was hanged.

Prime Minister Nawaz shareef bypassed the seniour General and appointed General pervaiz musharaf.
instead supporting the nawaz's  regime he toppled the government and the premier was sent in  exile.
General Musharaf appointed General parvaiz kiyani as chief of Army staff.  Meanwhile General Musharaf is no longer Pakistan's president and General Kiyani is given extension by the incumbent Government. Let's keep our fingers crossed and see what happens next ...
